How to Create Reports on the NMED Air Monitoring Website
How to Create Reports from the NM Air Monitoring Website
In addition to being able to use the NMED Air Quality monitoring website for a real-time view into the ambient
air quality database, it is possible to use the reporting features of this
website to create reports from prior dates in a number of formats. This
page shows a few basics of this process.
A report with up to a year's worth of data from each station can be generated
by pressing the link labeled "Click Here to Produce Reports" on any of the
monitoring station pages. The steps are the same for individual station reports
as well as "Group" reports that are setup by NMED Air Quality Bureau Staff for
public display. These group reports are designed to generate results from
multiple stations.
Parameter Selection Page
At the parameter selection page, do the following:
Select the Channels of Interest with the Checkboxes
Select a start and end date for the report. To do this,
click on the Calendar icon and browse to select the dates. Note that the
current day's date is defaulted and future dates are not valid.
Select an output format using the radio buttons below the
date fields. Examples of the output formats are shown below.
The small (750x480 pixel) Graph format is selected by
default. The larger Graph formats may be preferred for better resolution
or so that the labels are better displayed. Note that the Y-Axis of the
graphs is automatically scaled so a graph showing both solar radiation
and ozone concentration might not be useful.
The HTML and PDF (Adobe Acrobat) formats create tables
suitable for viewing or printing.
The CSV (Comma Separated Values) file, Excel Spreadsheet
and XML file formats might be useful for use if you want to do further
work with the results.
Press the "Create Report" button.
There will be a delay of a number of seconds as the data is
being queried and the report is being rendered. The wait will be longer for long
time intervals. Rendering the graphs takes a while as well. If the ticker stops
moving on your browser, the graph image is being downloaded. Please be patient.
If, after getting the results, you want the report in a
different form or for a different time interval, press the back button on your
browser and change your selections. It is quite straight forward, give it a try.
